Hey y'all! My name is Candace Hull. I am married to the love of my life; we met in February 2012, married in October 2013 and now have two beautiful girls. We own 60 acres in Antlers, OK and are hoping to start building our forever home soon.
I love doing anything outdoors. Hog hunting, riding horses and the ranger, deer hunting, spending lots of time with my little family and teaching my girls to love nature and outdoors the way their daddy and I do.
I have always had a passion for photography, which I get from my sweet momma. In junior high and high school I would always be taking pictures of animals and nature. I always dreamed of being a photographer for National Geographic or a photographer for the NFR. But now I’ve switched to all things birth, babies, parenthood, and families! I’m always trying to learn more everyday, grow my business and looking forward to capturing your special moments and family.
My love for birth and motherhood has grown so much since I had my first daughter. I had the best support system both births but I know so many women have none or have no knowledge of birth so that gave me the drive to be there for those mommas that need that. In March of 2022, I got my training to become a Doula and I am officially the only Doula in the Southeast OK area. I strive to educate, support and hold space for the birthing mother and even father. Birth is sacred and so empowering. Embrace it.

When I was pregnant with my first child in 2015 I wanted to hire a photographer and honestly I was shamed and made felt like that was 'so weird'. So, of course, I didn't hire a birth photographer and that is still to this day my biggest regrets in my life. You want to know why? Because, for one I went with my birth plan and gave birth to my baby girl with no pain medication whatsoever and that was a big deal for me. I wanted the moments of me rocking back in forth in the shower with my hubby documented. The moment that I SCREAMED out in my DEEP ROAR that she was coming and there was no stopping her, even if I tried. Three pushes and she was in my arms. I wish I had all of that documented so I could look back and remember. All I have is my memory, which a lot I don't remember, like my daughter having to have oxygen while she was on my chest. I hate that I don't have the images or video of the first moments with my baby girl.
Then in 2018 my second sweet baby girl came earth side. And again, I didn't hire a birth photographer, but had my camera and had my dear momma capture some pictures. But yet again, the roaring, the rocking, the back labor and my hubby and mom putting counter pressure. When I had my sweet Blakelee, my mom said I reached down and grabbed her instantly and no one was stopping me, I wish I had the images to look back on of that moment. The moment I grabbed my baby and put her straight to my chest, not letting anyone stop me, because I was momma bear and I was there to love my baby.
I hope that you, unlike me, can put all the what people 'might' think and do what is best for you and your family. Birth photography is powerful and your birth story should to be told.

Birth is powerful. Emotional. Beautiful. It is the most rewarding days of your life. The memories are messy and exhausting and wonderful and somehow…they fade away. Make them last forever. Let's document the moment your sweet fresh baby comes into this world.
Your birth fee covers on call dates, labor and delivery coverage, editing of your images & an 8X10 custom album. Birth fee is due by 37 weeks with a $150 retainer fee due at booking. Products may be purchased before birth or after when you are able to see your images.
In studio or in home newborn session.
Your sweet little baby changes in the blink of an eye. Velvet skin. Little puppy whimpers. Have a beautiful portrait from the first day of life.
Newborn session - within the first ten days of life
Fresh 48 - within the first 48 hours of life in the hospital (if hospital birth) or in home (if birth center or home birth)
Oh motherhood, it looks good on YOU. Document your round beautiful belly as you carry and GROW that human life inside your womb. Pregnancy is so breathtaking and absolutely amazing. I know you probably don't feel good but come hang with me and I will show you that you are so much more beautiful then you think.

Need to update your family photos or pictures of your growing babes? This session is for you. You are building a legacy and you need it documented. Your babes will only be this age ONCE. It all fades away faster then you think.

Words can not express the emotions I felt when viewing my gallery from the birth of my son. I could hardly see through the pouring tears. I don’t think I’ll ever be as emotionally attached to a set of photos as I am these. Not only do they capture the emotion but they are so modest and exactly how I hoped. Candace is an absolutely amazing photographer and awesome to work with! I will definitely be using her for all our future picture needs., especially the ones that has to do with my babies. She did my second birth with my daughter Emma and is doing my third birth with my daughter Rayleigh. I just wish I would have known her when I had my first, my son Kayden, and she would have documented that birth as well. Candace is by far the best photographer we have used, babies and birth.
Candace with Rafter H Photography is amazing to work with. Our 2 year old is not always excited about taking pictures. There have been several times we have left a session and with how he was acting I think there is no way we will get but a couple good ones. Well low and behold Candace always works her magic and some how manages to get a ton of great pictures! She works so hard and great with kids! We absolutely love her and will continue to use her for our future picture needs!!

…. One of mine and my parents good friends wanted me to take pictures of her and her daughter. So I gave Candace a call and I asked her if she could help me with taking pictures and she obviously said yes! So she came over the day that I was going to take pictures and she helped me with so many things such as learning the settings of the camera, the angles to get at to get good pictures , the areas that look best for pictures, how to hold the camera and so much more. Then after that she helped me edit the pictures and the girl I took pictures of was so happy with them thanks to Candace. Without her I could not have done it….
